Two more Baloch killed in Custody: BYC

SHAAL, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) stated that the organisation strongly condemns the recovery of the bodies of two young men in Kech district. These incidents are yet another horrific example of the continuing pattern of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings, reflecting the grave human rights situation in Balochistan.

Seventeen-year-old student Manzoor Baloch son of Nabi Bakhsh, was forcibly disappeared late at night on July 8, 2025, from his home in Kolwahi Bazaar, Absar. For nine months, his family knocked on every door seeking justice, yet no case was brought forward, nor was he ever produced before any court. On February 26, 2026, his body was recovered from Kech Kor in Turbat.

It further stated that similarly, Imran Taj Baloch son of Muhammad Taj, aged 26, who was a student at the University of Turbat, was taken into custody in broad daylight on June 27, 2025. On February 27, 2026, his body was also found in Kech Kor, bearing clear signs of torture.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee made it clear that these actions constitute an open violation of the Constitution, international law and fundamental human rights. Enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings are unacceptable in any civilised society.

They demanded that both incidents be immediately investigated transparently and impartially and that the practice of enforced disappearances be stopped at once.

In conclusion, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee called upon international human rights organisations, the United Nations, and the international community to take immediate notice of the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan and to take effective action.
