Balochistan: Two Students Forcibly Disappeared After Late-Night Raid in Karachi’s Lyari

KARACHI, BALOCHISTAN: Two students were forcibly disappeared following a late-night raid conducted by Pakistani forces in the Kalri area of Lyari, according to family members.

The incident occurred at around 3 a.m. when security personnel entered a residence in Ali Muhammad Mohalla, Kalri. During the offensive, a 17-year-old girl, identified as Ayesha, daughter of Lal Jan and an 18-year-old boy, identified as Daud son of Ibrahim, were taken into custody.

Both individuals are described as students and residents of the same neighbourhood.

Family members say that the forces arrived in the early hours of the morning, entered the house and detained the two without presenting any warrant or explanation. They maintain that since the raid, no information has been provided regarding the whereabouts of the detainees.

Relatives have appealed to the relevant authorities to immediately disclose the location of Ayesha and Daud and to ensure their safe recovery. They have also called for transparency regarding the reasons for the detention.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from authorities regarding the raid or the disappearances of the students.
