Pakistan Military Offensives: Punjabi Army Will Not Succeed in Balochistan
UN must investigate the murder of Raziq Mandai Baloch and help locate his dead body: Free Balochistan Movement
LONDON: The Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) in a statement condemned the killing of Raziq Baloch by Pakistani intelligence agencies in Afghanistan and said that he was a political activist affiliated with the Free Balochistan Movement.
He was living in Afghanistan and was raising his voice for the independence of Balochistan and against the human rights violations by Pakistani forces in Balochistan.
Raziq Baloch was killed by the Pakistani army in Afghanistan, like thousands of other Baloch political activists, because he advocated for freedom of Balochistan under the accepted laws of the world.
The FBM in its statement said, ‘our friends and workers have not been able to locate Raziq Baloch’s dead body yet.’
‘Meanwhile, Pakistani state-controlled media broadcast pictures of his body along with the news of his martyrdom. Pakistan committed an international crime and martyred a political activist in another sovereign country and still refuses to hand over his dead body.
Raziq was also registered as a refugee with the UN Refugee Agency in Afghanistan and his murder is a clear violation of UN and other International Laws,’ FBM said.
Now it is the responsibility of International representatives of Human Rights bodies in Afghanistan, especially the United Nations, to investigate the murder of Raziq Baloch and hold Pakistan accountable for his killing and pressurise Pakistan to give back his dead body to his family for their final respects.
FBM in its statement further maintained that it was the duty of the civilised world to help stop the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan. The occupying Pakistani state has been violating human rights in Balochistan for seventy years and now they are targeting Baloch refugees fled to other countries to save their lives and they are registered with the UN Refugee Agency.
The spokesman added that if human rights organizations, including the United States, could hold Indonesia accountable for the Santa Cruz massacre, they could hold Yugoslav leaders and generals accountable for the Kosovo-Bosnia massacre. Then why is Pakistan enjoys the exemption and impunity to commit genocide of Baloch people?
The Spokesperson strongly urge the United Nations to form an international investigative team and probe the murder of Raziq Baloch, hold Pakistan accountable for his murder and help recover his dead body.
