Balochistan: Baloch youth dies in Police custody in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers have tortured a Baloch youth for three days and later handed him over to police in a severely injured condition where he succumbed to his injuries while the police were taking him to the court.

According to reports, Sindh Rangers abducted Akhtar Baloch son of Akbar Baloch resident of Layari last week from his house.

The Rangers have kept Akhtar Baloch in their custody for three days and subjected him to brutal torture and mistreatment.

When his condition deteriorated the Rangers charged him with possession of weapons and drugs handed him to Baghdadi Police station.

According to Akhtar Baloch’s family sources, when the police brought him to the court, they have requested the judge to consider his situation and transfer him to a hospital for treatment but the judge rejected their plea.

After his hearing when the police were taking him back to jail, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to jail.
