 Balochistan: Iranian authorities arrest three disabled siblings

DOZZAAP (ZAHEDAN): Authorities from the Iranian Intelligence Department have raided a house in Zahedan – the capital of Iranian-Occupied Balochistan and abducted three disabled siblings.

The Baloch Activists Campaign reported on the 8th of May 2023, three disabled persons, two girls and one boy, were arrested by the agents of the Zahedan Intelligence Department.

The identities of two of the detainees have been ascertained as Waheed R and Maryam R children of Mirza.

The identity of the second girl could not be confirmed at the time of filing this report.

Sources reported that on Monday noon several cars of intelligence officers raided their house and arrested two sisters and their brother all of whom had physical disabilities.

The BAC quoted a source as saying that “no matter how much their parents have begged the authorities not to take their children with them, their insistence has been fruitless.”

The three siblings are reportedly not literate and they belong to a poor family.

according to reports Waheed R has been released after a few hours but his two sisters are still in custody and the family has no information about them.

There was no immediate response from the authorities about the raid on Mirza’s house and the arrest of his children.
