Four Killed, Two Injured in Pakistani Forces’ Firing in Balochistan
KECH, BALOCHISTAN: Two separate incidents involving Pakistani security forces in Kech District have left four people dead and two injured, local sources report.
According to details, in Zamran Dambani, Frontier Corps (FC) personnel raided several houses and forcibly detained Kahuda Peer Muhammad, son of Haji Abdul Rasheed, along with his young son Abdullah. Both were taken to an FC camp, where they were reportedly killed.
Residents allege harassment during the operation and violations of the sanctity of homes, criticising the forces for routinely disregarding local traditions and conducting night raids with searchlights.
Separately, in Dasht, FC personnel opened fire on a vehicle, killing two and injuring two others. Initial reports indicate that the victims may have been Afghan refugees, though no official confirmation has been issued. Authorities have not provided details regarding the motives or circumstances of the incident. The injured have been taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Local residents have called on the government to restrain security forces and respect human rights and local customs.
