Balochistan: Iran Executes Seven Prisoners, Six of Them Baloch
Dozzap (Zahedan): Iranian authorities executed seven prisoners, including six Baloch individuals and one Kurdish man, in Chabahar and Kerman prisons at dawn on Sunday, April 2021.
According to reports, two of the prisoners hanged in Chabahar Jail have been identified as 30-year-old Saeed Jadgal son of Lal Muhammad, and Mohammad Anjmanroz, also known as Muham Jan Jadgal, son of Malek, both residents of Dashtyari, Iranian Occupied Balochistan.
The remaining four Baloch prisoners executed in Kerman prison were identified as 34-year-old Ahmad Reza Meri son of Muhammad Meeri, a resident of Zahedan, 53-year-old Shamsuddin Kashani, son of Shaukat Shahbakhsh (Darakzahi), from the village of Chah Ahmad in Zahedan, and a Kurdish prisoner, Jamal Mardani, son of Hussain, resident of Gogjalu Bukan, Azerbaijan.
However, the identity of one of the Baloch prisoners executed in Kerman prison could not be confirmed at the time of filing this news report.
These prisoners had their last meeting with their families a day before the execution.
According to the 2023 annual report of the Baloch Activists Campaign, Iran executed at least 177 Baloch citizens, including one Baloch resident of Afghanistan, in one year.
