QUETTA: Azad Baloch, the spokesperson for the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), informed the media in a statement that on July 2, BLA operatives targeted the offices of Pakistani intelligence agencies ISI and MI located on Secretariat Road in Kharan City.
According to the statement, BLA freedom fighters, Sarmachars, executed four simultaneous bomb attacks on the intelligence offices and engaged in gunfire with the Frontier Corps (FC) personnel stationed above the offices for security.
The attack resulted in the death of one official and injuries to three others.
Azad Baloch in a separate statement, provided details of another incident on July 1, where from 8 am to 1 pm, Sarmachars blocked the road at Gitani, located between Johan and Narmuk area of Kalat, based on information about the movements of informers for the Pakistani army and ISI’s death squads.
During the roadblock, an armed informer named Abdul Razzaq was identified. As soon as he noticed the BLA Sarmachars, he attempted to take a position and drew his weapon. Despite being asked to lay down his arms and surrender, Abdul Razzaq opened fire. The Sarmachars retaliated, killing him and confiscating his weapon.
Abdul Razzaq son of Talib, had been working for the Pakistani army and intelligence agencies for a long time. He was actively involved in pursuing Sarmachars in the area and was implicated in military operations forced disappearances, and the martyrdom of youths.
“In light of ongoing military aggression and the presence of death squads in the region, the BLA has put their Sarmachars on high alert. The BLA warns residents of nearby areas, including Johan, to avoid unnecessary travel and steer clear of sensitive locations,” Azad Baloch added.
