Balochistan: Iranian Forces Continue Executions and shooting of Baloch citizen
DOZZAP (Zahedan): On Monday, September 9, 2024, at least six individuals were executed at Zahedan Central Prison in Iranian Occupied Balochistan.
Initially, the identities of two of the executed prisoners were unknown, but one has now been confirmed as Masoud Sheikh from Zabol.
According to the Baloch Activists Campaign, Masoud Sheikh was sentenced to death on charges of murder, which he repeatedly denied. Despite his pleas of innocence, the death sentence was carried out.
In addition to Masoud, five other prisoners were executed on the same day. The identities of four of these individuals have been confirmed, including one Baloch national from Afghanistan.
The identity of the sixth prisoner remains unknown at the time of filing this report.
In a separate incident, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, a Baloch citizen who military forces had shot succumbed to his injuries after three days.
The shooting occurred at the Doost Mohammad border in Hirmand on September 7, 2024.
The deceased has been identified as Nader Dahmarde, a 25-year-old resident of Gholam Ali village in the Hirmand district. Nader, married with two young children, was reportedly shot while irrigating his fields.
Reports indicate that Nader, who was known to the border patrol forces, was shot without warning while working in his village.
The shooting caused injuries to his legs, abdomen, and bladder. He died from these injuries three days later at Zabul Hospital.
It is noted that border patrol officers had previously threatened Nader, demanding his cooperation or facing restrictions on accessing his land. Nader had consistently refused these demands.
Additionally, on September 9, 2024, Abdulhamid Shahnavazi was shot and killed by border patrol officers at the Rautak border in the Khash district while travelling in a Toyota pickup truck to irrigate his fields.
The officers left his body in Afghan territory.
