Balochistan: Another Fake Encounter, Tortured Body of Abducted Youth Found
Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) Appeals for Release for Disappeared Individuals
QUETTA: The Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) reports that Haibat Khan Smalani and Nooruddin Smalani son of Zareef Khan, employees of Mir Coal Company, were forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces on October 17.
This incident occurred while they were returning from Jinnah Road Quetta after collecting their wages when they were taken into custody in front of Qudoosi General Store.
Their relatives have informed VBMP, stating they have received no information about their loved ones’ whereabouts.
Voice for Baloch Missing Persons has committed to presenting the cases of Haibat Khan and Nooruddin to the government and relevant commission and said it would make every effort for their safe recovery.
The VBMP has also appealed to human rights organisations and the international community to pay attention to this issue and advocate for the recovery of enforced disappeared persons in Balochistan.
Additionally, a young man from Kalat, Abdul Malik son of Muhammad Yousuf, was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces on October 11.
Sources reported that he was taken by personnel from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Frontier Corps (FC) in Turbat, Kech, around 1:30 PM, and has since been transferred to an undisclosed location.
His family has appealed to humanitarian organisations to raise their voices for Abdul Malik and advocate for his safe recovery.
