BLA Claims Responsibility for Attacks on Telecommunication Tower and FC Camp in Mangocher
SHAAL (QUETTA): The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has taken responsibility for two recent attacks in the Mangocher area of Kalat district, Balochistan.
In a statement released by the group’s spokesperson, Azad Baloch, the BLA said its fighters carried out an operation on September 17 targeting a telecommunication tower in the Sor area of Mangocher.
According to the group, the attack aimed at dismantling a “spy tower” used for surveillance purposes. The statement added that the tower’s machinery, including unspecified surveillance devices, was set on fire and destroyed during the attack.
This follows an earlier incident on September 14, when BLA fighters launched an assault on a Frontier Corps (FC) camp located near a college in the same area. The group said the camp was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and other firearms, resulting in the deaths of three FC personnel and injuries to four others.
