Balochistan: BLA Claims Responsibility for Attack in Kalat and Killing a State Collaborator
SHAAL, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has issued a statement claiming responsibility for an attack on Pakistani security forces and for the killing of a man it described as a “Pakistani operative.”
According to the statement attributed to BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch, the group’s fighters attacked a Pakistani security check post in the Shah Mardan area of Kalat on November 19 at around 2 p.m., using “modern weapons.” The group claimed that the attack resulted in casualties among security personnel.
The BLA statement further claimed that on November 28 at approximately 10 p.m., its fighters shot and killed state collaborator identified as Chakar son of Mal Jan, in the Robdar area of Kalat. The group alleged that the man had been working as an informant for Pakistani intelligence agencies.
The BLA said it recorded a confession from him and that information obtained from him would be used for further actions.
The BLA stated it “accepts responsibility” for both incidents.
