Pakistani forces abduct nine people including a well-known Baloch Human Rights activist
KARACHI: Pakistani security forces raided the houses of a Baloch human rights activist in Gulistan-e-Johar Karachi in the early hours of Saturday morning and abducted nine people including Baloch Human Rights Organisation information secretary.
According to details the Pakistan Rangers and plain clothed officials of intelligence agencies barged into the house of Nawaz Atta Baloch, information secretary, in Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi at 2 AM Saturday morning.
At least nine people including Nawaz Atta son of Atta Mohammad were abducted during the unwarranted raid. The other victims have been named as Abid son of Ashraf 17, Farhad son of Anwar 17, Sajjad son Yar Jan 18, Ulfat son Altaf, Aftab son of Mohammad Younis, Rawat son of Taj Mohammad, Mohammad Arif son of Mohammad Younis and Ilyas son of Faiz Mohammad.
The Pakistani security forces have also brutally tortured and harassed women during the raid and injured them badly.
Meanwhile, the Baloch Human Rights Organisation (BHRO), in a Press Release at Karachi Press Club has demanded the immediate release of their Information Secretary and others.
The BHRO activists said that their organisation is striving for human rights and has no affiliation with any political parties.
They demanded from Sindh and Federal government to play their role for early and safe release of abducted Baloch activists.
