Balochistan: Mother loses mental capability after son’s abduction and disappearances

QUETTA: A Baloch mother has lost her mental capability and her condition continues to deteriorate because of her son’s abduction by Pakistani forces in 2015.

According to sources, Pakistani forces abducted Rashid Ali son of Abdul Rasheed from Parom area of Punjgur Balochistan on 28 April 2015. His mother Madina Bibi has been waiting for her son’s release from past three years and in this process, her physical condition deteriorated and she lost her mental capability.

Rashid Ali has three children and is the only bread earner of his family. Mr Ali’s family has contacted relevant Army officers and provincial Ministers for his whereabouts and release but nobody listened to their plea.

His family and children are going through mental torture and financial difficulties and his mother is now on deathbed.

Even though the current government has promised to release previously abducted Baloch but they are yet to fulfil their promises.

Meanwhile, enforced-disappearances in different areas of Balochistan continue.
