Balochistan: Four pro-freedom Baloch activists killed in Panjgur

QUETTA: Four Baloch fighters including two brothers of a pro-freedom armed organisation were killed in a gun battle against Pakistan army and their local death squads in Panjgur district in Pakistani Occupied Balochistan (POB), on Sunday.

According to details, the battle started in the early hours of Sunday morning in Prom Kallag Kaor Yar Mohammad Bazaar area in Panjugr. Initially, members of local death squads ambushed the Baloch fighters and they retaliated in their defence. Soon, however, the Pakistani army also surrounded the area to support their collaborators.

Sources reported that after several hours of exchange of firing the Baloch freedom fighters were eventually killed in a pitched gun battle.

The Baloch fighters who lost their lives in Pangur battle have been named Noora aka Peerak Baloch son of Sherdil, Nawaz son of Haji Ghulam Hussain, Abdul Malik son of Haji Ghulam Hussian residents of Panjgur and Momin son of Mohammad Azeem resident of Buleda.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) in a statement to media said that all four men were members of BLF and had been associated with the organisation for several years.

The BLF’s spokesperson Gwahram Baloch paid tributes to the fighters of his organisation and reiterated that their loss will be avenged and their sacrifices will result in Free Balochistan occurring on the world map one day.

He also claimed that several Pakistani army personnel and their local collaborators were killed and injured in Panjgur battle.

It must be noted that other two Baloch pro-freedom fighters were killed on Saturday in Gharibabad area of Pishin city in Iranian Occupied Balochistan (IOB) but so far no Baloch pro-freedom armed group owned them neither was there any mention of them in Gwahram Baloch’s statement to media.
