Balochistan: Iranian state brutalities against Baloch people go unnoticed
DOZZAAP (Zahedan) Iranian forces executed a Baloch prisoner for alleged possession of drugs in Birjand prison on 4th of June 2020, who did not have a death sentence.
According to the Baloch activists’ campaign, Thursday morning, June 4, 2020, a Baloch citizen named ′′ Mullah Nasrallah Naroui son of Maulawi Ahmad Shah whose only one-year imprisonment was still remaining, has been hanged in Birjand without previous death sentence and execution order.
Informed sources reported that Mullah Nasrullah Naroui Baloch, a resident of Mazandaran was arrested for drug charges and sentenced to five years imprisonment. He had spent more than five years of his sentence in Birjand prison and four years was left to his release.
However, he was given amnesty for another three years of his sentence on the occasion of Hazrat Ali’s martyrdom day and only one year of his sentence was remaining.
A source also reported that Mullah Nasrallah’s inmates have said that his family was told that they would be allowed to claim Mr Naroui’d dead body immediately after his execution.
But, his family had to wait for long to receive the dead body and the prisoner authorities also have not given the will of Mr Naroui to his family.
There are reports that execution of at least five other Sunni prisoners in Birjand prison, including a woman named Maryam is also imminent. So far, there has not been any news about the cause of their execution.
An elderly Baloch man named Chirag Baloch son of Murad was shot dead in Lerdap’s Gohrat village.
In another incident, the Iranian navy personnel attacked the Baloch settlements in Bandar (port) Kolahi city, violated the sanctity of the houses and severely tortured the women, children and elderly people.
According to details, on the morning of June 6, the naval personnel under the command of Colonel Lashkari raided the houses of Baloch in Bandar Kolahi in Hormozgan province of Iran.
The offensive was carried out under the pretext of interrogating the Baloch involved in petrol and diesel business. The attack provoked a strong reaction from the Baloch people against occupying forces of Iran.
Sources informed BalochWarna News that the residents of Bandar Kolahi did not allow the naval personnel to enter their homes, which led to clashes between the locals and the naval personnel who opened fire at residents and forcibly evicted them at gunpoint.
Colonel Lashkari is the Deputy Admiral of Hormozgan and Bandar Kolahi is a village in the Tiab District in the central part of the city of Minab in Hormozgan.
The village is located along the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman and the mountains of Makuran region of Balochistan.
Separately, on the afternoon of June 7, the wheat fields of Baloch farmers were set on fire in the city of Wash (Khawsh) in Iranian-occupied Balochistan.
According to details, a fire broke out in wheat fields in Najafabad area of Wash city around noon on Sunday. The fire spread to ten wheat fields due to strong winds and destroyed all the fields.
Locals say agricultural experts are investigating the cause of the fire.
However, a number of suspicious fires have been reported in Iranian Occupied Balochistan (IOB) in recent weeks, proving that all fires are being carried out in an orderly manner.
Yet another incident, the dead body of an elderly Baloch has was found in the city of Geh (Nekshahr), Balochistan.
The victim named Gaji Darzada was abducted by unknown gunmen two days before his dead body was found from his petrol shop in the city of Geh – renamed as Nekshahr by the Iranian force after occupation of Balochistan.
After the abduction, the relatives of the deceased had also lodged a report at the police station.
On June 3, his two-day-old body was found near Jawankan Dam in Geh.
Sources close to the victim said signs were found at the scene, suggesting that Gaji Darzada was severely tortured before he was stabbed to death.
Motives behind his killing could not be confirmed so far and his killers remain at large.
It is pertinent to mention that the Iranian intelligence agencies and other security forces have long been involved in fuelling internal rivalries among Baloch people.
In recent years hundreds of Baloch have been shot dead by Iranian forces under different pretexts and many Baloch youths have been killed in staged road accidents by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).
