Balochistan: Brother’s disappearance, despaired sister commits suicide
QUETTA: A Baloch sister has committed suicide after two years of waiting for her brother to be freed from Pakistani forces’ custody.
According to details, Fatima daughter of Ishaq took her life by hanging herself to a fan inside her house in Gokdan area of Turbat, Balochistan on Saturday.
The mother of three was a resident of Dasht-e-Mazanband, killed herself at her husband’s house.
Sources reported that her brother, Imam Ishaq, was abducted two years ago by Pakistani from his house in Dasht area of district Kech, Balochistan.
The sister had been suffering from depression for a long time due to her brother’s abduction and disappearance and on June 13 she committed suicide as she could no longer tolerate the absence of her brother.
Previously also, relatives of several abducted Baloch activists died while waiting for the return of their loved ones.
Baloch pro-freedom forces say that at least 30,000 Baloch are still in the custody of Pakistan forces whose lives are at risk.
