QUETTA: The Free Balochistan Movement has announced to organise a rally and a public awareness campaign in Germany’s Hannover city on 26 June “International Day in Support of Victims of Torture”.
This announcement was made after a meeting of the organising body of the party’s Germany Branch under the chairmanship of the Chapter Organiser.
According to FBM press statement, Human Rights organisations, journalists and local German people will be invited to attend the Baloch rally and will be given information about ongoing human rights violation in Balochistan including enforced-disappearances, military offensives, extra-judicial killings and executions of Baloch activists by occupying states Iran and Pakistan.
The Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) in its statement further said that party activists will raise awareness about Pakistan and Iran’s collective punishment of families of Baloch political cadres and abduction of peaceful political activists, students, lawyers, teachers and other enlightened members of Baloch society to counter the Baloch liberation struggle.
“On this occasion, leaflets will also be distributed among the German people by the Baloch workers to make the local people aware of the background of Baloch freedom struggle and current situation of Balochistan during the public awareness campaign and rally.
The protester on that day will highlight the systematic state barbarism and atrocities perpetrated on the Baloch nation by the occupying Pakistan and Iran,” the FBM statement read.
The protest rally will commence from the main train station of Hannover city and proceed to the centre of the city.
The FBM activists will also run an online awareness campaign on Twitter on the same day using hashtag #StopTorturingBaloch.
Also, an informative documentary on the plight of Baloch torture victims and international law will also be aired on June 26 to expose Pakistani forces violence and mistreatment of Baloch political prisoners. The documentary will include ordeal and testimonies of torture victims which will be broadcasted by Aajoi TV YouTube Channel.
The FBM has strongly advised all Branches, Executive Council, Central Cabinet and members to take part in the online twitter campaign on “International Day in Support of Victims of Torture” and highlight the Pakistani and Iranian states violence, torture and mistreatment of Baloch people.
