Balochistan: Pakistani forces abduct eight Baloch during fresh offensives
QUETTA: The Pakistan Army has conducted offensives in different areas of district Khuzdar Awaran and Kech, Balochistan. At least eight people have been forcibly disappeared during these latest unprovoked offensives of Pakistani forces.
According to details, Pakistani forces raided Zamuran Bazaar area of Tump Kohad district Kech Balochistan in the early hours of Sunday morning and abducted Riaz son of Ibrahim and Munir son of Khuda Bakhsh both shopkeepers in Nizarabad.
One day prior to Tump offensive, the Pakistani forces carried out offensives in Gresha area of Khuzdar, Jao region of Awaran and Tump in district Kech Balochistan. The forces abducted at least eight Baloch during these offensives and transferred them to the military’s undisclosed torture chambers.
In Bahadi region of Gresha area in Khuzdar Pakistani forces abducted Sanjar son of Hassan, Noor Bakhsh son of Saleem and Khair Bakhsh son of Saleem.
Billo son of Noor Mohammad resident of Sakkadi Dap, Mohammd Jumma son of Rasool Bakhsh resident Damb and Taj Mohammad son of Atta Mohammad resident of Surgar were abducted from Jao area of district Awaran Balochistan.
Sources reported that Pakistan forces have been conducting offensives in Jhao, Gresha and Surgar mountainous range from the past several days.
The Pakistani forces have reportedly seized large numbers of the livestock of the local population for the purpose of transporting ration and weapons to its troops in the mountains where they have been stationed for some time now.
Due to lack of communication and ongoing military siege in the region, the exact effect of the military offensives cannot be confirmed.
However, residents of surrounding areas expressed their fear that the heavy presence of military and large scale offensives indicates that more people might have been abducted and disappeared.
