Balochistan: Karima Baloch to be buried in Tump on Monday
BW NEWS DESK: The corpse of ex-chairman of Baloch Student Organisation (Azad) will be flown to Karachi on January 24; she will be buried in her hometown Tump Balochistan on Monday 25th of January.
Her brother Sameer Mehrab confirmed in a tweet, “My sister Karima Baloch will be laid to rest in our hometown Tump, Balochistan, on Monday, January 25. Her body is being flown to Karachi & will arrive at 3:30 AM on Sunday, January 24. Our family members will then take her body to Balochistan. The funeral will be held at midday.”
Meanwhile, the Baloch Solidarity Committee in a statement said that they are making arrangements to receive Banuk Karima dead body with ‘full national honour’ from Karachi airport on Sunday, January 24 at 4 in the morning
The BSC said that her body will be taken to Lyari where funeral prayers will be offered at Mawlavi Usman Park (Bhai Bagh) at 10 am. After the funeral prayers in Lyari, she will be taken to his native Tamp for burial.
The spokesperson of the BSC said that Bank Karima was a Baloch national leader who took the path of political struggle for Baloch national survival. She was forced to live in exile in Canada because surface politics was made impossible for her in Balochistan.
BSC alleged in its statement that on December 20 last year she was “brutally killed” in Canada’s Toronto city, adding that “Shaheed Banuk Karima Baloch’s sacrifices for the Baloch nation are commendable.”
The spokesman said that the Baloch Solidarity Committee appealed to the Baloch people to reach Karachi as soon as possible to receive and honour of the body of Bank Karima Baloch and to make full preparations for the reception of ‘Shaheed-e-Watan – The martyr of the homeland’.
