Balochistan: BLA accepts responsibility of attacks on Pakistani forces
QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has accepted the responsibility of three attacks on Pakistani forces in Balochistan’s Kohlu and Kharan districts.
According to details, the BLA has attacked the staff of a construction company and Pakistani forces deployed for the security of road construction work in Talingokh Chappi Kach area of Kahan in district Kohlu Balochistan on Saturday.
The road construction work is taking place under the supervision of Pakistan army, BLA spokesman Azad Baloch claimed.
He added, “Our fighters attacked a construction company and Pakistani forces deployed for security of the road which is under construction for military interests in Kahaan Chappi Kach area of Kohlu. As a result of the landmine attack, one staff of the company was killed and the other six including security personnel have been wounded.”
“Baloch Liberation Army accepts responsibility for this attack,” Azad Baloch said in his press statement.
He said that in the past also BLA fighters have attacked the Pakistani forces on the same construction site. “In our previous media statements, we have repeatedly warned the contractors and their staff not to become part of Pakistan’s army exploitative projects in Balochistan.”
Azad Baloch maintained that colonial designs of the state machinery aimed at direct exploitation of Baloch national wealth, in Kohlu or any other parts of Balochistan, are always their target.
He repeated his warning to the construction companies and their staff in Kahaan to stay away from the Pakistani army’s exploitative projects to avoid any loss them and their workforce.
In Kharan also the BLA fighters attacked a check post of Pakistan Paramilitary forces and claimed to have inflicted losses on them.
Azad Baloch said that Baloch fighters hurled a hand grenade at the check post of Pakistan army in Hindu Mohalla area of Kharan on Wednesday.
He claimed that at two FC personnel were wounded during the grenade attack.
Yet another attack in Kharan’s Nowroz Abad Road the BLA fighters attack a Pakistani forces check post with automatic weapons.
“BLA accepts the responsibility of both attacks in Kharan,” Azad Baloch said.
The BLA spokesperson reiterated that such attacks would continue until the independence of Balochistan.
In retaliation, the Pakistani army has started offensives against the civilian population in Kharan’s Hassan Abad region between Siyah Patt and Sherozai areas.
The Pakistani forces have reportedly attacked several houses and harassed residents; at least one man named Javed Baloch has been arrested and taken away by Pakistani forces.
Meanwhile, in Bolan region of Balochistan, the Pakistan Army have been carrying out offensives and have been indiscriminately firing long-range artillery at civilian populations in Jhalawan, Lodi, Jambro and Janthro areas for more than five hours.
So far, however, no confirmed reports of casualties have been received.
