Balochistan: Several Forcibly Disappeared From Different Regions

SHAAL, BALOCHISTAN: Reports of enforced disappearances and targeted killings continue to emerge from different parts of Balochistan and Islamabad, intensifying concerns over the safety of Baloch civilians, students and political activists.

According to reports from Hub, Pakistani Rangers and other security personnel raided a house late at night in Allahabad Town, vandalised the property, and detained Haleem Zehrison of Abdul Qadir, a resident of Zehri in Khuzdar district. He was transferred to an undisclosed location.

Sources stated that Haleem had previously been detained near Pasni by Pakistani forces approximately a week earlier before, later being released. Family members say he has now once again been forcibly disappeared. Haleem Zehri is related to the previously disappeared Baloch political activist Rashid Hussain, while his brother, Manan Zehri, had also been subjected to enforced disappearance during earlier military operations in the region.

Meanwhile, reports from Chamalang Tehsil in Kohlu district say that Pakistani forces detained at least fourteen individuals and transferred them to undisclosed locations. Those named among the abducted individuals include Ahmad Shah, Nabi Lal, Baz Muhammad, Soorat Khan, Sobat Khan, Haider Khan, Jamali, Noor Khan, Mazar Khan, Faiz Muhammad, Bazo and Jameer Khan.

Families of the victims of enforced disappearance say no information has been provided regarding their condition or whereabouts.

Separately, in Shahrag, a man identified as Dino son of Gul Muhammad and a resident of Khaparinzai, was killed after armed men described by locals as a state-backed death squad entered his home on Saturday night. The incident follows another assassination in Nushki, where Brahui language writer and poet Professor Ghamkhwar Hayat was shot dead a day earlier by armed attackers linked to state-backed groups.

In Islamabad, concerns have also mounted following the enforced disappearance of Kambeer Khan son of Ali Muhammad, a student of Archaeology at Quaid-i-Azam University and a member of the Baloch Students Council (BSC) Islamabad.

According to reports, Kambeer was forcibly disappeared near I-8 Markaz at around 9:00 PM. Student activists and human rights advocates condemned the incident, stating that Baloch students in major cities continue to live under fear, harassment and surveillance.

In another incident from Turbat’s Sheikhan area in Kech district, 33-year-old Kiyya son of Muhammad Isa, was abducted during a late-night raid conducted by FC personnel on April 23, 2026. According to local sources, Kiyya worked as a driver in the United Arab Emirates but was visiting family back home when his house was raided. His family has expressed deep concern over his whereabouts and safety.

Rights groups and activists have called for the immediate and safe release of all missing individuals and demanded transparent investigations into the growing number of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings reported across Balochistan and other parts of Pakistan.
