Balochistan: Several including women abducted from Awaran
QUETTA: Pakistani security forces have reportedly abducted several people including five women from two different areas of district Awaran Balochistan Sunday.
According to details, Pakistani security forces carried out offensives in Tobo Kadh area of Jhao and Peerandar lop region of Awaran Balochistan and abducted several people including at least five women.
The victims of Jhao military offensives have been named as Basheer Ahmad son of Mohammed Hussain and Mohammed Ramzan son of Badain, Khair Bibi daughter of Mohammed Hussain, Mahjan daughter of Sulaiman, Sameena daughter of Ali Murad, Lal Khathoon daughter of Ghulam Mohammed.
Several other people have also reportedly been abducted during Tobo Kadh operation whose identity has not been ascertained at the time filing this report.
Sources reported that women were mistreated and harassed when they tried to resist the arrest and abduction of Basheer Ahmad.
The abducted persons including women have been shifted to a nearby military camp in Wajah Bagh military camp.
Separately on Sunday morning, the Pakistani forces have abducted three people including a woman during a raid in Peerandar, Awaran.
The abducted persons have been named as Bahot Baloch and Gul Bahar wife of late Rasool Bakhsh Baloch.
It is pertinent to mention that at least three Pakistani soldiers were killed in the same area around five days ago in an IED explosion.
Previously also there have been reports of abduction of Baloch women and children during Pakistani military offensives in different areas of Balochistan including Awaran.
Baloch pro-freedom parties and activists consider the arrest of women as Pakistani state policy of collective punishment.
